Privacy Policy

No accounts. OpenSplit has no sign-up, no passwords, and no tracking of who you are. Anyone with a group link has full access to that group.

Your groups live on our server so the people you share links with can see them. That's the whole service: shared expense groups, nothing else.

Links are the keys. Group pages ask search engines not to index them, but anyone who gets a link — or a personal invite link — can see everything in the group, including its full activity log. Only share links with people you trust.

Your identity stays in your browser. The name you pick for each group is stored only on your device, never sent anywhere except as the label on changes you make.

Currency rates come from a public exchange-rate service when you turn on display-currency conversion. No personal data is sent with those requests.

Your data, your call. Export any group as CSV or JSON any time, and deleting a group removes it from our server permanently.
