How OpenSplit works
Split bills with friends in under a minute.
1. Create a groupGive it a name and a currency. You'll get a link — that's the whole setup, no accounts or passwords.
2. Invite with the linkShare the link with your friends. Everyone opens it and picks who they are — no sign-up, ever. Personal invite links open as the right person automatically.
3. Add expensesTap + on the group page, enter what was paid and how to split it: equally, exact amounts, percentages, or shares.
4. Settle upThe Balances tab shows who owes whom, and Settle up suggests the fewest payments. When someone pays, record it — the balances update for everyone.
5. Track everythingThe Activity tab logs every change with who made it. Export any group as CSV or JSON any time. Charts and currency conversion are free.
Good to know
- The link is the key — anyone with it has full access, so only share with people you trust.
- The name you pick is stored only on your device.
- Everything is free. There is no premium tier.
